About the Fifty States Quilt

The Fifty States Quilt was originally a partially assembled, anonymously donated quilt, that had been forgotten for many years. It was found on the last day of quilting while packing up, in preparation for the church addition.

During the summer of 2017, the quilt was disassembled and refurbished with new sashing, boarders, backing, batting and binding. The straight-line quilting was completed and then the quilt was sent to a “long arm” quilter to enhance the embroidered state blocks.

This remake was financed by the members of the Estero United Methodist Church Quilt Group to a cost of over $400.
